Born in Yugoslavia, Sascha Lilic has spent a large part of his life dedicated to fashion.
At just 16 years old Sascha began his career as a hairdresser and make-up artist before making the move to becoming a fashion stylist.
With his innovative and timeless style he became the fashion & creative director of SPOON magazine in the mid 90’s ?until (due to Helmut Newton’s encouragement) prompted him to make yet another career move - to that of a publisher and Editor-in-Chief of ABOVE Magazine, which he launched in the spring of 2004.
A high-end glossy and luxurious coffee-table magazine that struck "fashion-fame" immediately due to it’s exclusive and artistic content and exquisite paper and printing quality.
It came as no surprise that, in 2008, a British publishing company would come to buy the title after only eight issues.
Sascha then resumed his work as a Freelance Fashion Stylist, Creative Director and Fashion Consultant for various brands and publications.
His editorial work has been featured in magazines such as Vogue , GQ, Vanity Fair, Interview, V Man, Harper's Bazaar, Esquire, Glamour, L’Officiel, etc. and in a number of books such as "Sex and Landscapes", "Red in Vogue", “Cinema in Vogue”, "Works", "PH 10", "The Art of Burlesque", "Sumo", etc. as well as in numerous exhibitions in art galleries and museums all around the world.
Sascha has worked with numerous actors, musicians and artists including Lana del Rey, Jessica Chastain, Sienna Miller, Rihanna, Alicia Vikander, Diane Kruger, Keira Knightley, Lea Seydoux, Naomie Harris, Milla Jovovich, Vanessa Paradis, Beth Ditto, Yoko Ono, Emilia Clarke, Monica Bellucci, Suki Waterhouse, Charlotte Rampling, Kylie Minogue, Drew Barrymore, Eva Green, Gemma Arterton, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Claudia Schiffer, Stacy Martin, Ewan McGregor, Azzedine Alaia, Sean Lennon, Lenny Kravitz, Callum Turner, Luke Evans, Pete Doherty, Adrien Brody.
He has also worked on a number of major advertising campaigns such as
Hugo Boss, Absolut Vodka, Clarins, Swarovski, Junko Shimada, Thomas Sabo, Alberta Ferretti, Roccobarocco, Plein Sud, Thomas Sabo, Messika, Agent Provocateur.
Photographers he has worked with include his mentor Helmut Newton, Ellen von Unwerth, Norman Jean Roy, William Klein, Steve Hiett, Bettina Rheims, Dominique Issermann, TerryRichardson, Simon Emmett, Irina Ionesco, Mariano Vivanco, Alison Jackson, Hunter and Gatti.
Sascha’s work can been seen on the runway as well as he worked with Elie Saab, Zuhair Murad, Hugo Boss, Joop!, Junko Shimada, Carven, Lie Sang Bong and most recently with Pascal Millet during Paris fashion week.
